Work background

I have been employed constantly since high school in industries including IT, automotive and aerospace.

Between school and hobbies, I have touched airplanes, boats, cars, rockets, satellites, houses, other mechatronics (3D printers, steering assemblies) and computers.

Educational background

I was home-schooled until ninth grade, during which time I learned many languages including C and Perl, generally building my programming skill set. I attended L’Anse High School between 2005 and 2008 when I graduated valedictorian. Throughout high school, I was involved in several clubs including QuizBowl, National Honor Society, and Drama/Theater (I was in two plays!). I attended Michigan Technological University and earned a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering in 2012. I was fortunate enough to gain internship experience at Computer Mechanix, Ford, GE (Aviation) and research experience at Cornell University and Michigan Tech. In 2013, I started pursuing a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, conducting research on microgrids and control systems.
